LEADING CALIFORNIA IN CANNABIS HEAVY METALS TESTING

The Heavy Metals analysis is used to test the "Big Four" harmful heavy metals found in plant material. These are high-density metals that are found in the environment and can cause severe illness when inhaled or ingested at certain levels. As a requirement by the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC), we will test all of our compliance samples for Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, and Mercury.

Cannabis plants are hyperaccumulating and known to absorb heavy metals from soil, fertilizer, water, and pesticides during cultivation. These metals can also be absorbed during the manufacturing and packaging process. At Epic Solutions & Analytics we test Heavy Metals using a highly sensitive technique called Inductively-Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). This technique allows us to quantify the amount of Heavy Metals at a Part Per Trillion (ppt) detection range.
